This one-day workshop is the ideal support for you as a doctoral candidate or postdoc if you want to learn how to better deal with uncertainties and setbacks in everyday academic life and use them constructively for your development. Uncertainty is unavoidable in the academic world - be it with unpredictable research results, in career development or in complex supervision situations.
- Understanding uncertainties and setbacks in everyday academic life (identification of typical academic challenges and their effects, analysis of personal reaction patterns and their consequences, normalization of uncertainty as part of the academic process)
- Developing inner stability and resilience (practical strategies for self-regulation in critical situations, building up personal resources for academic challenges, developing individual coping strategies)
- Growth mindset in scientific practice (transforming setbacks into development opportunities, strengthening scientific self-efficacy, developing a constructive attitude towards feedback and criticism)
- Sustainable implementation in everyday academic life (integrating self-care practices into research work, establishing helpful routines for challenging situations, developing concrete strategies for dealing with typical academic setbacks)
