The WiMINToring mentoring program for young female scientists takes place every two years and runs for approximately one year. Mentoring is a tried-and-tested and effective instrument of modern personnel development and is also often used in equal opportunities work.
The WiMINToring mentoring program for young female scientists is carried out with a group of approx. 10 mentees who are assigned a mentor from science or business who is already established in their professional life. The mentors use their experience to support the mentees in their personal development. In addition, our mentoring program is accompanied by a supporting program consisting of workshops to strengthen personal skills, networking evenings, career coaching and excursions to career fairs.
The exact program schedule can be found on the website of the Equal Opportunities Office.
At the heart of the mentoring program is the mentoring process between a mentee and their mentor. The program at Clausthal University of Technology is accompanied by a supporting program that includes workshops (on topics such as women's empowerment, procrastination and communication) and networking evenings on various career opportunities. It should be emphasized that the groups of mentees and mentors are each assigned a trainer for the entire mentoring process.
