The workshop "Confident handling of power in the university environment" opened up completely new perspectives on the concept of power and everyday power conflicts for newly appointed professors in the winter semester 2023/24.

The most important findings were both surprising and provocative:
1. Power is always present - even where you don't expect it.
2. power cannot simply be "seized".
3. others only have as much power as we actually grant them.

This process of realization is now being deepened.

A second workshop on the topic of "More power competence in the university environment through neuroscientific leadership with fun, vision and sustainable success" is planned for the winter semester 2024/25.

While sustainability is often dismissed as a trendy topic, there are fundamental questions behind it: what are the real long-term consequences of our decisions and actions? And how many of these consequences are beyond our awareness?
It becomes even more exciting when we look at the latest findings from neuroscience. They reveal what actually happens in our heads when we experience power - be it our own or that of others. Neither good character nor extensive knowledge or "free will" are the decisive factors for success or failure. The key lies in the unconscious processes of our brain, which influence far more than we think.

Dealing with power in a university environment is complex and challenging - you experience this every day.

In this workshop, you will learn how to use power consciously and effectively in order to act not only more successfully but also more sustainably in complex management structures.

Don't miss this opportunity and discover how you can take your leadership role to the next level - for the benefit of your career and the further development of your working group.
