National and European funding channels for personal academic careers

Target group: Doctoral candidates in the final phase of their doctorate and postdocs

In this seminar, European and national application options for early career researchers who have already completed their doctorate are presented with regard to their own project management, in particular for financing their own position.

Contents:
* Requirements for submitting an application
* Personal plans, objectives
* Individual funding (e.g. DFG, Alexander von Humboldt, Volkswagen Foundation, EU, Marie Sklodowska Curie Actions, ...)
* Junior research group funding (e.g. DFG, German Federal Government, Helmholtz, Fraunhofer, EU, ERC Starting Grant, ...)
* Overview of the procedure for preparing and submitting applications (e.g. required signatures)
* Internal and external advisory services

Note: Please tell us in your application at which scientific institution of Clausthal University of Technology (institute, center) you work and in which year you intend to do your doctorate or have completed your doctorate. Please also let us know if you already have concrete application plans.
