Tutors/mentors support students at the start of their studies, offer orientation and subject-specific opportunities to solve exercises in small groups and work on topics from the lectures. In addition to subject-specific know-how, organizational skills, didactic knowledge and clarity about your own role are also important for success. Our workshop aims to prepare you for your tutorial and provide you with basic tools so that you can get started with confidence.

Student tutors and mentors supervise students. They support them at the start of their studies, offer them orientation and the opportunity to solve exercises in small groups and work on topics from the lectures.

They need a variety of knowledge and skills to cope well with these responsible tasks. Technical know-how forms the basis. However, organizational skills, didactic knowledge and clarity about your own role are also important for success.

Our workshop aims to make you fit for your tutorial and provide you with basic tools so that you can get started with confidence.

Objectives:

    - Participants know the basics of learning psychology.
    - They will recognize and apply supportive, learning-promoting tutor behaviour.
    - Participants will train methodological and social skills to deal with situations appropriately.
