Contents include: What is science? What characterizes
a good theory? What is the interplay between experiment/observation and
theory? In what sense is there reliable scientific knowledge? What
differences are there in the various scientific disciplines? (e.g.
natural science vs. humanities)

Module 2: Scientific ethics and technology assessment:

Contents include: Are we allowed to do everything we can? What role does science play in society? What does technology assessment do? How do you assess the consequences of technology?
